Gillo Repertory Theatre works in Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA), creating performing arts experiences that engage children and young adults with theatre in particular and the arts in general.
Based in Mumbai, we tour across India, with performances, workshops and theatre-based engagements. Our repertory of adult performers stages plays for children of different age brackets between 1 – 18 years. Since 2010 we have produced over 20 plays, staged over 600 performances, and reached over 110000 children.
Our plays include Kyun-Kyun Ladki, Hanuman Ki Ramayan, Taoos Chaman Ki Myna, Mister Jeejeebhoy and the Birds, Chidiya Udd, among others. ‘Gillo On The Go’ is our flagship project that tours across urban and rural India, making theatre accessible to all.
