Vrunda Sekhar is an Ilkal Researcher/Handloom enthusiast. 

Facilitating online Marketplace for weavers of North Karnataka & bridging the gap between Weaver & Consumer are areas of engagement. Promotion/Marketing of Ilkal Sarees and propagation of Ilkal Sarees as a national weave of historical/cultural significance are also her other areas of work. Apart from championing the rights of the weavers, she is also involved in research/ revival of long-lost design palettes of Ilkal Weave. A Communication Specialist, having handled External, Internal, Customer, Retailer Comms, she has worked in Corporates like Bharti Airtel, Hathway, Intel and Heidelberg India. She was a Consultant to Govt of Karnataka, in depts of Kannada/Culture and Karnataka Urban Water Supply Board, as a Media Specialist.

Vrunda has a Masters in English Lit, PG Dip in PR/Advtg. She is a member of Janapada Loka, Ramanagara, Ex VP of KK Handloom Council. She is a certified auditor of POSH.
