Anupama is an accomplished Carnatic vocalist and Bharatanatyam dancer with over three decades of performances and awards to her credit in both fields. She had most of her formative years of training in Chennai with senior Gurus in both fields, and currently resides in Mumbai. A computer engineer by profession, an alumnus and recipient of the coveted all-Rounder medal from the prestigious IIM Ahmedabad, and an ex-investment banker, Anupama decided to choose the classical arts over a career in financial advisory. She now balances her twin passions of dance & music, performs regular stage shows and also trains students at her institute, Vidya Vardhini Fine Arts Academy. She was recently featured as a singer-dancer in the popular Tamil magazine Penmani, and has also received the "Kamala Power Women" award at the hands of the governor of Maharashtra for her contribution to the performing arts.
